Head, Business & Corporate Strategy
Shelley is a highly experienced business and legal affairs executive with an extensive background in television production, corporate strategy, finance and all manner of cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Green Pavilion, Shelley held the position of Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at MGM Television where she was responsible for structuring, negotiating and overseeing many award-winning television productions such as “Fargo” (FX), “The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), “Vikings” (History), “Teen Wolf” (MTV) “Get Shorty” (Epix) among many more. Prior to joining MGM Television, Shelley was Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Fox Television Studios working on award winning television series such as “The Americans” (FX), “White Collar” (USA); “The Killing” (AMC); “Saving Grace” (TNT); “Burn Notice” (USA). As head of the legal department, Shelley managed all scripted and unscripted development, production, litigation as well as corporate strategy and international business development as well as all international local language studios with specific responsibility for Fox Television Studios India. During her five-year tenure at Fox, Shelley was a member of the News Corporation’s Global Compliance and Business Ethics Leadership Committee. Shelley has held similar positions at Scripps Network in both Los Angeles and New York, Hearst Entertainment Television and Disney Channel. Upon graduating from law school Shelley was an independent film and television producer at Monarch Pictures Corporation.
A graduate of the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Shelley is a former adjunct professor of Entertainment Law at Whittier College of Law (California and Spain) and is a frequent guest speaker on the business of entertainment law.
Shelley is the recipient of Angelino Magazine’s 2015 Altruist of the Year Award, The Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel Founder’s Award and the Century City Chamber of Commerce Women of Achievement Award. Shelley is President of Visionary Women, Chair of the Otis College of Art & Design Annual Scholarship Benefit, a member of the Professional Advisory Motion Picture and Television Fund, the Leadership Advisory Council of the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel, BAFTA as well as a number of charitable and philanthropic organizations.
Shelley lives in Los Angeles and holds dual citizenship in both Canada and the United States.
