The world of the Vikings is brought to life through the journey of Ragnar Lothbrok, the first Viking to emerge from Norse legend and onto the pages of history – a man on the edge of myth.

As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods: legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.

The hugely successful series began its fifth season already with eleven Primetime Emmy nominations to its name. Vikings was also the first ever scripted series to be aired on the History Channel.
